This project involved rehabilitation of a day use facility including design of multiple new buildings (Headquarters office/ administration, lifeguard tower, maintenance and operations yard, concession stands, comfort stations, plazas, dressing rooms) in compliance with specifications of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the California Coastal Commission, the California Dept. of Parks and Recreation, and the requirements of the ADA. Sustainability concepts were incorporated into the project design using life cycle cost analysis.
