UCSD Medical Center's Thornton Hospital is a general medical-surgical facility that offers a full range of services. The region's only academic medical center offers both primary care and specialized services. We provided design services for various improvement projects including the support system for maintenance access of the cooling tower and access ramps for maintenance of the underground mechanical airshafts. One of our principals, Christopher Kamp, was also the project engineer for the design and construction of the original hospital in 1991.
